What is Little Blue Nook?
Sometimes, what we need most is someone who understands.
Founded by an international adult adoptee, Little Blue Nook brings lived experience, thoughtful listening, and meaningful conversation to the questions, emotions, and everyday challenges that can accompany adoption.
We believe there is tremendous value in having someone to check in with. Someone who can listen without judgment, offer perspective, and help make sense of feelings that aren't always easy to put into words.
Whether you're navigating questions about personal history, cultural identity, family relationships, loss, or belonging, Little Blue Nook offers an approachable space for reflection and connection.
Our work is designed to complement, not replace, the important care and support provided by therapists, psychologists, social workers, physicians, educators, and other professionals.
Because sometimes, an additional understanding voice can make a meaningful difference.
A Little Nook for…
-
Children, teens, and adults seeking an approachable space to share experiences, explore questions, and receive thoughtful guidance informed by an adult adoptee's lived perspective.
Whether you're navigating family relationships, personal history, cultural identity, belonging, or simply having a difficult day, your experiences matter.
-
Adoptive parents, caregivers, siblings, and family members who would welcome an additional perspective as they navigate the complexities of adoption, strengthen communication, and nurture family connections.
Sometimes, hearing an adult adoptee's perspective can help families consider feelings, experiences, and needs that may be difficult to recognize or communicate.
-
Clinicians, educators, adoption agencies, social workers, physicians, and other professionals interested in incorporating lived experience into the important work they already do.
Little Blue Nook welcomes thoughtful collaboration, professional dialogue, and opportunities to provide an additional layer of adoptee-informed support.
Different journeys. Different needs. A shared commitment to understanding and connection.
